GE Healthcare has completed the first European installations of its Discovery MI and Discovery NM/CT 670 CZT molecular imaging systems.
Clinique St-Jean in Brussels received the first Discovery NM/CT 670 CZT system, a general-purpose SPECT/CT scanner featuring a cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) digital detector. Meanwhile, Uppsala University Hospital in Sweden is the first in Europe and the second in the world to install Discovery MI, a PET/CT scanner that includes the vendor's LightBurst digital detector and Q.Clear image reconstruction technology, GE said.
GE is highlighting both of these systems at this week's annual meeting of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) in Barcelona, Spain.
