Siemens Healthcare has introduced a new dual digital fluoroscopy and radiography system in the U.K.
In addition to performing fluoroscopy procedures, Luminos Agile can be expanded for radiography use when integrated with Siemens' Ysio ceiling-suspended x-ray tube, wireless detector, and wall stand, according to the vendor.
Luminos Agile features a 43 x 43-cm flat detector, motorized tower, synchronized table, and wall bucky tracking. Its table adjusts in height from 65 cm to 112 cm and accommodates horizontal and vertical transfer positions, Siemens said. It has a weight capacity of 272 kg and accommodates bariatric patients with a 60-cm opening between the tabletop and digital imaging tower.
In addition, the system includes the vendor's Combined Applications to Reduce Exposure (CARE) dose reduction program. It also incorporates Siemens' Digital Density Optimization and DiamondView Plus features to improve image quality, image contrast, and detail recognition for critical regions of fluoroscopic images, Siemens said.
