Swedish mammography IT firm Sectra said it has signed a five-year contrast with Vrije Universiteit Brussels to supply its breast imaging PACS.
The PACS will provide instant access to patient images that include relevant patient data, improving the hospital's quality of service for women participating in the Belgian Breast Screening program, Sectra said.
The Web-based breast PACS features advanced diagnostic tools, including integrated computer-aided detection (CAD) and reporting, offering a single-system reading environment for mammographers. Vrije Universiteit Brussels provides mammography services for 14,000 women each year, according to Sectra.
