Significant sales growth in Sweden propelled net sales gains for PACS vendor Sectra in its third quarter of fiscal 2018.
For the quarter (end-January 31), net sales increased 2% to 300.1 million kronor (29.4 million euros), compared with 294.2 million kronor (28.8 million euros) in the third quarter of fiscal 2017. Operating profit rose 9% to 51.3 million kronor (5 million euros), compared with 47.1 million kronor (4.6 million euros) in the same quarter of the last fiscal year. Adjusted for currency fluctuations, operating profit increased 13.5%.
Net sales for the nine-month period rose 10% to 878.6 million kronor (86.1 million euros), compared with 800.1 million kronor (78.4 million euros) in the same period of fiscal year 2017. Operating profit climbed 24% to 155.4 million kronor (15.2 million euros), compared with 125.6 million kronor (12.3 million euros) in the same period a year ago. Adjusted for currency fluctuations, operating profit increased 27%.
Sectra also is looking to expand its early market presence in Canada and France, where offices opened last year, added Sectra President and CEO Torbjörn Kronander.
