The European Private Foundation is inviting applications for the European Society of Radiology (ESR) Albert L. Baert Editorial Fellowship. The scheme is designed to train one fellow each year in skills such as manuscript evaluation, editing, peer review management, and manuscript production and publishing, including electronic publication.
The winning candidate will be announced by the Editor-in-Chief of European Radiology, Maximilian F. Reiser, PhD, at the editorial board meeting, which is held in Vienna during the ECR in March. Applications must be received by 31 October.
The fellow will work for 10 days in total, both at the editorial office in Vienna and at the Munich office of the editor-in-chief of European Radiology, the foundation said. The fellowship includes an award of 4,500 euros to cover expenses. Candidates still in training, or younger than 35 are preferred.
The candidate must be a certified radiologist or senior resident or fellow, and must be a member of ESR. He or she must provide evidence of scientific or clinical research and work in the field of radiology, the foundation said.
Applications must include a curriculum vitae, and a letter of reference from the candidate's department chair. Applications should be sent via email to [email protected].
