VIENNA -- "Rays of Knowledge" will be the title and central theme of next year's ECR, according to meeting president Prof. Minerva Becker, who is chair of head and neck and maxillofacial radiology at the Geneva University Hospitals in Switzerland.
As ECR 2025 drew to a close, we spoke with her to find out more about what will be fresh and different at next year's congress. She also unveiled the ECR 2026 poster, which features an image of Athena, the Greek goddess of war, handicraft, and wisdom and the patroness of Athens.
In this video interview, Becker, who is editor-in-chief of the ESR Modern Radiology E-Book (184,000-plus downloads to date), also elaborates on the composition of her own department, collaborative efforts with the World Health Organization, the origins of her distinctive first name, and her favorite hobby of swimming in Lake Geneva.
